NWA Kettle Bell Ringing Challenge

Northwest Arkansas Mayors and the Benton County Judge are participating in the fourth annual Red Kettle Campaign Mayor’s Challenge this Friday, December 8th. The challenge is a friendly competition to see who can raise the most money for The Salvation Army’s annual Red Kettle Campaign by ringing bells outside local stores. Mayor Stephanie Orman, Springdale Mayor Doug Sprouse, Rogers Mayor Greg Hines, Centerton Mayor Bill Edwards, and Benton County Judge Barry Moehring will all be ringing the bells on Friday, December 8, 2023, and Bella Vista Mayor John Flynn on December 7th. Benton County to Launch ‘Operation Green Light’ in Support of Local Veterans

November 3, 2023

In advance of the upcoming Veterans Day holiday, Benton County will illuminate the historic Benton County Courthouse and the County Administration Building green from November 6th through the 12th as part of Operation Green Light. The national collaborative initiative of the National Association of Counties (NACo) supports military veterans, as well as raises awareness about the unique challenges faced by many veterans and the resources that are available at the county, state, and federal level to assist veterans and their families. Operation Green Light encourages its citizens in patriotic tradition to recognize the importance of honoring all those who made immeasurable sacrifices to preserve freedom by displaying green lights in a window of their place of business or residence from November 6th through the 12th, 2023. Benton County Rogers Office Ribbon Cutting

October 27, 2023

The new Benton County Rogers Office opened for business on Monday, September 25, 2023. Benton County and the Arkansas Department of Finance and Administration will host a ribbon cutting ceremony at 1:30 PM on Tuesday, November 7, 2023 to celebrate completion of the building. The ceremony will be held inside of the Atrium at the Benton County Rogers Office located at 2111 W Walnut St, Rogers, AR 72756. A short reception and tour of the building will follow the ceremony. The building is a leased space with Benton County occupying approximately 50,000 square feet. Construction on the newly renovated building began in February 2023. The Benton County Rogers Office houses the County Assessor, Collector, and a satellite office for the County Clerk with the County Archives. Arkansas Property Tax Payments Due October 16th

October 13, 2023

The statewide deadline to pay 2022 personal and real estate taxes is Sunday, October 15th. Due to the deadline falling on a weekend, the due date has been extended to Monday, October 16th.  The payments can be made to the Benton County Collector online or in person. You can also drop your payment in a drop box at all offices listed below. All payments received by mail must be federally post marked no later than October 16th, 2023. If residents do not pay their taxes by 11:59 p.m. on Monday, October 16th, there will be a 10% late fee and or interest.    Please note the Benton County Collector’s Office has moved to 2113 W Walnut Street in Rogers.  The office will be closed on Tuesday, October 17th to process payments. Community Risk Reduction changes name to Building Safety

October 10, 2023

The Benton County Community Risk Reduction Department has changed its name to the Building Safety Department. The Building Safety Department is responsible for building permits, inspections and code compliance for unincorporated Benton County. The department falls under Public Safety and is overseen by Benton County Fire Marshal Gary Yarno.
