As of Tuesday, August 6th, approximately 536,075 cubic yards of vegetative debris have been picked up in unincorporated Benton County.
Benton County will begin the second pass of debris pickup in unincorporated areas on August 18th. Looks Great Services will begin the second pass on the west side of Benton County, where crews began the initial pickup. Each address, there have at least 10 days between the first and second passes. This will allow residents whose debris was just picked up time to place more debris by the roadside.
We appreciate residents putting debris near the roadside as soon as possible. This will ensure your storm debris is picked up. There is no need to contact the County to schedule a pickup. Please be patient as crews wrap up the first pass before beginning the second pass on August 18th.
Only debris placed along the road in the public right-of-way will be eligible for collection. Debris will be picked up along county-maintained roads only. The County will pick up vegetative debris, construction, and demolition (C&D) debris, and root balls/stumps. The County will not pick up debris along private, city, or state roads. Please contact your local municipality or the Arkansas Department of Transportation (ARDOT) for pickup within city limits or along state highways.
Benton County’s Debris Pickup Map will show which pickup zones are active and which zones are upcoming, along with estimated dates. Crews are wrapping up the first pass of West Side Zones 5, 6, 7, 8, 14, & 15. The East Side Zones’ first pass is complete.
Please note fixes being made with insurance money are not eligible for curbside debris pickup. Roofing, shingles or any other construction materials that are the result of repairs made through insurance must be disposed of by the contractor. Only furniture/appliances that were damaged in the May 26th storm are eligible for curbside pickup through this contract. Contact Looks Great Services 479-878-1384 to schedule a bulk pickup that doesn’t meet this criteria. Benton County Solid Waste is another option.
