The Benton County Relief Fund, a partnership for Benton County cities and residents, announced that it is providing short-term financial assistance to Benton County households impacted by the devastating storms of May 26, 2024. The Fund will also support local nonprofit service providers for their disaster responses for Benton County and all affected communities therein.
Households that live in Benton County, were directly impacted by the May 26th storms, and make $125,000 or less annually are eligible for the Fund. Residents will also receive customized resource plans that will connect them to as many resources as possible to ensure that their needs are met. Those who are interested should fill out the form at harknwa.com/get-help to start the process.

So far, 1,613 FEMA disaster assistance applications have been submitted. FEMA has identified two centers for disaster assistance in Benton County. A FEMA Mobile Registration Intake Center (MRIC) has opened at Falling Springs Church Decatur, 21822 Falling Springs Road, Decatur, AR, United States, Arkansas.
A Disaster Recovery Center (DRC) will open at NWACC’s Becky Paneitz Student Center located on the Bentonville Campus, First Floor, Room 108. Parking for customers will be on the 2nd and 3rd floors of the on-campus parking garage. Access to the parking garage is off Water Tower Road. The two centers will be staffed by representatives from FEMA and the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA). FEMA Individual Assistance is available for those underinsured or uninsured. Counseling to explain the options available for disaster assistance and enrollment services for the disaster assistance programs will be available.

The Benton County Assessor and Collector have reopened their Satellite Office locations. Phone and online services have also resumed. Due to storm damage, the Benton County Rogers Office, 2109-2117 W Walnut St, will remain closed to the public.
In-person services are available from 8 AM – 4:30 PM Monday through Friday at these locations:
• Bentonville Satellite Office – 2401 SW D Street, Bentonville
• Gravette Satellite Office – 901 1st Ave SW, Gravette
• Siloam Springs Satellite Office – 707 Lincoln St, Siloam Springs
Governor Sarah Sanders signed an executive order allowing Benton County and other storm-affected counties to suspend the 10% penalties for a late personal property or business assessment until June 30, 2024. The original deadline was May 31, 2024.
As of Wednesday, June 5, the Benton County Decatur Road Yard will accept construction and demolition debris (C&D). C&D debris includes, but is not limited to, siding, fencing, furniture, drywall, roofing, etc. C&D debris DOES NOT include appliances or hazardous materials. The Decatur Road Yard will be the only Benton County maintained site to accept C&D debris. Mixed loads of debris will not be accepted. Vegetative and C&D debris loads must be separated. The other two sites, Hwy 62 East Side and the Benton County Fairgrounds, will only accept vegetative debris.
All three sites are open Monday – Saturday from 7 AM – 7 PM. Please be aware that if there is lightning in the area, we will suspend operations at the debris sites.
The Benton County East Side Debris Dropoff site is located at 603 S Hwy 62, Rogers. Please look for signage to find this site. The Benton County Fairgrounds North Parking Lot entrance is located off Hwy 279/S Vaughn Road. The Benton County Decatur Road Yard is located at 200 Spavinaw Ave.
The Benton County Debris Drop Sites are for the public only. Commercial businesses will need to find alternative arrangements for their debris disposal.
The National Guard Mission for Benton County has been extended through Friday, June 21. Guardsmen will help with traffic control at the three Benton County Debris Drop Sites.
