Volunteering & Donation Information

Volunteering:

First of all, the detention center has a great volunteer program.
We are always looking for new faces and the residents also appreciate the company. At the present time, some of our different volunteer opportunities are:

  • Tutoring
  • Personal Interaction
  • College Students Interested in Criminal Justice
  • Mentoring
  • Counseling internships

If you would like to volunteer in any of these capacities you can stop by and pick up a volunteer application whenever it is convenient. If you have questions, call the detention center so we may provide more information.

Donations:

The facility accepts donations of books, volleyballs and basketballs for resident use. Any books are subject to approval by administration. Due to the wide range in age of the residents that we serve, true crime, romance novels, and any other book with inappropriate content are not allowed.  We certainly appreciate your understanding.
