Veteran Information

A veteran with Total and Permanent disability shall be exempt from payment of all county taxes on the homestead and personal property.
A.C.A. 26-3-306

All veterans or spouses of deceased veterans must have their tax exemption letter (Summary of Benefits) in our office no later than December 31 of each year. If we do not receive this letter, we will not be able to exempt your taxes for the following year.

A surviving spouse of a veteran who died from service connected causes is or would be entitled to department benefits in the form of death indemnity compensation.

All surviving spouses must have their NOTARIZED affidavit and Summary of Benefits in our office no later than December 31 of each year. If we do not receive the affidavit, we will not be able to exempt your taxes for the following year. You may download the affidavit below.
